Conservative Councillor for Writtle Ward

Tony Sach

Tony Sach is one of the two City Councillors for Writtle, having been first elected in 1999 and has lived in Writtle for most of his life, over 50 years. He is married with a daughter and a son and has 2 granddaughters. He is retired, having been a Senior IT Manager in a major bank and a Consultant in the computer industry.

He attended King Edward VI Grammar School and is a life member of the Old Chelmsfordians.

He was Mayor of Chelmsford in 2009/10 and before that served as a member of the cabinet for 6 years. He has also served on the Parish Council for many years and is a past Chairman.

He is Chairman of the School Governors at Lawford Mead Infants and Nursery School and a Management Governor of King Edward VI Grammar School.

Tony is an active participant in the local community. He has played cricket and football for the Writtle clubs and is a life member of the tennis club. He is a member of the Writtle Society, Writtle Community Association and Writtle Sports and Social Club.
