Conservative Councillor for South Woodham Ferrers – Elmwood & Woodville


Born and educated in Rayleigh Essex, Tricia has  lived in South Woodham Ferrers for the last 20 years. She is  proud to serve the community as a Chelmsford City Councillor representing Elmwood and Woodville Ward, South Woodham Ferrers and has done since 2003. Tricia was also one of the first Borough/Councillors to be elected by the residents to serve on the Town Council for South Woodham Ferrers.

Tricia had the privilege of being the Deputy Mayor of Chelmsford for the year 2005/06

She worked for 20 years in Social Services, working with young adults with Learning Disabilities and now works part-time as a receptionist for Dr John Cormack in South Woodham Ferrers.

Tricia is married and has one daughter and 2 grand-children living in Oxfordshire and also has 2 stepchildren who live and work in SWF.

She is a Member of the Chelmsford Planning Committee and The Licencing and Regularity Committee.

Tricia is also a Trustee of CAB (Citizen Advice Bureau) and Former Trustee of Chelmer Housing Partnership

She campaigned with residents and our MP at that time. The Right Honourable Mark Francois against the development of houses on Radar Hill in 2003

She also campaigned and petitioned to keep a Market in Market Square

Tricia, along with the other City Councillors that represent South Woodham Ferrers, hold regular surgeries in the Town Centre, for residents to speak to her, if they have a concern regarding any local issue. Of course you can contact your City Councillor at any time if you have concerns.

She actively encouraged the City Council’s cabinet member for Leisure to bring Spectacular Festivals to Parks in South Woodham Ferrers.

Tricia is Chairman of The Patients Participation Group at Greenwood Surgery, which campaigns to get the Best Health care facilities, not only for patients of the Greenwood Surgery, but for all the residents of South Woodham Ferrers.

Tricia says , “One of the great things about being a Councillor, is that you get out of it, what you put in, and my promise to you is that I do NOT ‘disappear’ in between elections but will continue to work tirelessly for the residents of South Woodham Ferrers”
