Conservative Councillor for South Woodham Ferrers – Elmwood & Woodville
Linda has lived in South Woodham Ferrers for 37 years. In 2006 she meet Bob Denston and they were married in 2007.
As her husband, Bob, has been a Borough/City Councillor for many years, Linda has taken an interest in local affairs and has attended many Council meetings over the years.
In 2010 Bob was honoured by being appointed Deputy Mayor of Chelmsford and as Deputy Mayoress Linda met many wonderful people from the voluntary sector.
As Linda retired in 2013 from working in the City of London, she now has the time to take on a more active role in the local community.
She is secretary to the Patient Participation Group at Greenwood Surgery and has become very aware of the local health issues.
Linda’s two sons attended St Mary’s Holy Trinity and William de Ferrers Schools.
She now has a granddaughter at William de Ferrers and feels well placed to understand the needs of local families.
Having been elected as a Conservative City Councillor in the May 2015 elections, Linda is looking forward to serving the residents of SWF, helping to shape the Town and ensuring that residents have a powerful voice at the centre of the new City of Chelmsford
