Conservative Councillor for Moulsham & Central Ward
I have lived in Chelmsford for 12 years, prior to that I grew up in Woodham Mortimer while attending secondary school in Chelmsford, so I have had close ties with the area for almost 20 years.
During my time living in Chelmsford, and more specifically in Moulsham where I have lived for the past 9 years, I have been a commuter and worked locally, I have been a single person, and most recently a wife and a step-mum. I have also served my Church community by acting as governor for a local Primary School. I have seen our wonderful town become a City and am now looking forward to working with residents and businesses to continue to keep Chelmsford a great City to live and work in and to visit.
I am committed to ensuring we have a sustainable environment for future generations, and an environment that encourages a variety of activities and interests for our residents and workers.
An area of focus for me would be our arts and cultural activities within the City and I hope to hear from many residents about this in the future.
Moulsham has a great community spirit with Neighbourhood watches, action panels and a thriving and varied shopping district, including the marvelous Moulsham Street and West End of Chelmsford. I think we need to reinforce this community spirit over the next few years as we make the transition to City!
