Liz Ahmed – Councillor for Great Baddow East Ward
I moved to Chelmsford 36 years ago, and have lived in Great Baddow for the last 8 years with my husband and four children. In my working life I have been employed in the financial services sector in London and Chelmsford. I have also worked in a local accounts firm in Great Baddow and for a charity in Chelmsford, where I supported victims of domestic abuse. I feel it is important to give back to our local communities and help others where we can.
I am impressed with the achievements of the Conservative led City Council in the last eleven years, which have led to major improvements in the City of Chelmsford. I became a member of the Conservative Party because I believe in the values of entrepreneurship, value for money and apprenticeships. In my previous roles I have gained good listening skills and consider myself to be fair and non judgmental. With my interest in local issues I hope to be of considerable help to the local residents of Great Baddow East.
