Conservative Councillor for Bicknacre and East and West Hanningfield Ward
Richard has served as a Borough Councillor for the last nine years. He believes passionately that local councillors should be available to help local residents with local problems. His telephone number is 01245 223743.
Every month he holds a ward surgery in Bicknacre or Woodham Ferrers and writes regular articles on local issues in the Woodham Ferrers and Bicknacre Parish Magazine. If re-elected Richard will continue these regular surgeries and magazine articles. This enables Richard to keep in touch with residents and to keep them informed.
Richard has lived locally for the last thirty nine years. He is married to Barbara. They have four children (all educated at Sandon school) and ten grandchildren.
Richard is the former senior partner of a major firm of Chelmsford solicitors. He is a vice president of Essex County Cricket Club and Chelmsford Hockey Club. He is a life member of Essex Wildlife Trust, a former director of Chelmer Housing Partnership and former chairman of the CAB Trustee Board. He is vice chairman of the Council’s Planning Committee.
